Ämeriikkalaisilla interwebs-sivuilla on hämmästelty miten Infinity War voidaan jakaa kahteen palaan ja siinä välissä näyttää kaksi muuta leffaa.. oma veikkaukseni kolmannella kotimaisella kuuluu näin:
My fever-dream is to have A:IW part one emulate Thanos Quest miniseries, only with established MCU surroundings holding the Stones instead of the Elders. Knowhere holds Aether (or does it; maybe it was lost during events of GOTG?), Xandar holds Orb, Asgard has Tesseract, Loki's staff is on Earth (for now) etc. Thanos Quest came out in late 1990, with Infinity Gauntlet starting in summer of 1991 so it's not like Thanos didn't take his time in the comics as well.
Thanos kicks everyone's ass, maybe even destroys Nova Corps and Xandar giving us solo Nova (please make it happen!) and A:IW part one ends with Thanos completing the Gauntlet, leaving a trail of death and destruction in his wake. Audience knows that this big badass dude who just beat Thor bare-handed now has all these Stones that even individually are very powerful and troublesome items. Who the hell can stop him now? And worse, heroes are scattered after Civil War and none of them knows the big picture. Cue credits. Very empirestrikesback-ish.
A:IW part two begins with the same way Infinity Gauntlet miniseries did: Thanos kills half of the life in the universe at the request of Lady Death (possibly with Loki taking Mephisto's role from the comics). Dr.Strange either hears this from some cosmic being (hopefully Marvel has regained Silver Surfer by then), or senses this himself. The impact forces heroes everywhere to put aside their differences and pool their resources to stop what seemingly cannot be stopped. Next, two hours of pure mindblowing nerdgasm. Roll credits. Walk out of the theatre. Get back in queue to watch it again. Repeat.
