Blackfilm tarjoaa spiritista muutaman "haastattelun" ja 6 lyhyttä pätkää itse elokuvastaolkaa hyvät
Frank Miller näyttää lyhyellä vilkaisulla aivan Freddy Kruegerilta.
Ei näytä Spiritiltä. Ei kuulosta Spiritiltä.
Spirit's greatest nemesis is perhaps the silliest looking villain in the history of comic book films, The Octopus. Played by Samuel L. Jackson, it appears he is a combination of every character the once great actor has played. On top of that his wardrobe looks like what would happen is you mixed KISS, Earth, Wind and Fire, 70's Elton John, Dr. Frankenfurter and Detroit Willy the Pimp! On top of that he wants to (what else) rule the world. That's a little hard to do when you're a small time criminal living under a computer generated city composed of lamer graphics than the original Nintendo console released in 1985.
Calling this a poor man's 'Sin City' would be a complement, since The Spirit's story as well as the entire production feels like a mental patients home movie rather than a student film.
Ain't it coolissa rankataan huonoimmaksi koskaan(tosin sangen hauskasti)

“I’ve found a way to expand my career. Comics and directing are really two sides of the same coin. That’s what Robert Rodriguez taught me…good drama is good drama.”
The Spirit fails on so many levels that it's hard to know where to begin.
But “The Spirit” is terrific entertainment. It’s a better and a more complete film than “Sin City” or “300.” Having a comic book genius create a comic book movie is a very, very good idea indeed.
