Nevertheless, in Estonian context this publication is nothing more or less but a (micro)revolutionary turning point . For the first time, the most remarkable achievements of Estonian authors in the field of graphic narration / comics are gathered into one volume. As they are difficult to categorize both in the context of the gallery-based art world and corporative consumer culture, these auteur comics can be recognized only by their reluctance to ‘fit into frames’."

"This is actually not only a ‘comic book’. This is also an art project and the catalogue for the traveling exhibition that toured to Tartu, Rakvere and Tallinn. The Internet site ‘Koomiks.ee’, established in 2000, can be regarded as one of the starting points of this compilation. It was a sort of umbrella covering the comicsartists with a more ‘alternative’ approach to the medium, and it also compensated the lack of publishing opportunities with the freedoms of the World Wide Web. The jump from virtual reality into the ‘real’ was marked by the exhibition ‘Narration in Pictures. Estonian Graphic Short Stories/Poems from the Beginning of the '00s' , held in Rael Artel Gallery: Non-Profit Project Space, Tartu, in summer 2006 .’ The circle of authors had remarkably grown and the time had come to make the first conclusions. This collection presents the graphic narrations of seven authors or groups of artists."
Viron Taideakademiassa (Tartu mnt 1, vaaleanpunainen talo Kaubamajan vieressä) on tammikuussa myös pikku sarjakuva-näyttely samalla nimellä ja Taideakademian kirjastosta saa kirjan 150 kruunulla.
