Pidän yleensäkin aikamatkustus elokuvista, mutta se yleensä tarkoittaa kaikenlaisten paradoksien syntymistä ja käsittelyä, joka tekee siitä haastavan aiheen. Endgame:ssa onneksi asiaa oli lähestytty hieman eritavalla ja se toimi oivasti. Mutta nyt pohdin kaikkia niitä uusia aikajanoja, jotka leffassa syntyi
Tämä
artikkeli mainitsi mielenkiintoisen huomion siitä kuinka infinity kivet yhdessä loisivat yhden todellisuuden, joka voi sisältää eri aikajanoja.
Koska vaikka leffassa kivet palautettiin takaisin aikaan, josta ne otettiin, niin siltikin pakostihan siitä on syntynyt uusi aikajana. Isoimpina muutoksina Lokin vapaaksi pääseminen sekä toinen jana, jossa Gamora, Nebula ja Thanos ja hänen kätyrit vain katoavat ja sormiennäpäytystä ei koskaan tapahdu. Lokin vapaaksi pääsyä varmaan käsitellään siinä sen omassa Disney+ sarjassa; mielenkiintoista nähdä kuinka se vaikuttaa pääaikajanaan...
Osa noista ei välttämättä aiheuta mitenkään suuresti erilaista aikajanaa, kuten esim. se että kapu palauttaa aikakiven takaisin ancient one:lle heti sen jälkeen kun Hulk on sen vienyt, mutta periaatteessa joka tapauksessä täytyy syntyä uusi aikajana. Ja tästä pääsenkin siihen kaikkein eniten mietityttävään asiaan, joka on kapun jääminen menneisyyteen. Siitä tietysti syntyy uusi aikajana, mutta miksi kapteeni amerikka on sitten vanhana takaisin tässä aikajanassa, josta hän lähti? Yhdistyvätkö nuo aikajanat toisiinsa sen jälkeen kun se hetki on ohitettu jolloin kapu lähti menneisyyteen, vai siirtyikö vain kapu toisesta aikajanasta takaisin siihen, josta lähti?

Time Travel Rules
The way I understand it to have been explained is that it’s Schroedinger’s timelines. We have our main timeline of the MCU as we understand it, and then splintering realities that exist as soon as that is deviated from. Killing Thanos in say 1995 would create a 1995-TD. They would eventually arrive in a 2023TD that would look vastly different. It has no effect on our reality (2023A). They’re very firm about that last point. We can not change our time (2023A) by doing something in the past.
Time Heist
The whole time heist idea is that they have to borrow the stones to use because just removing them from those alternate paths would doom their realities, just like how keeping mjolnir would leave that Thor without his weapon. They create the fractured reality by traveling there, borrow what they need, arrive right after, and return them. Those timelines will continue while we continue with ours.
Implication
They create a 2012L where Loki escapes with the Tesseract and Hydra thinks Cap is with them. But the scepter and Time Stone are returned. They create a 2014G where the guardians don’t form and Ronan probably gets the Power Stone, but that and the Soul Stone are returned. Well Cap also creates a 1945D when he gets his dance with Peggy. He lives out his whole life happily, and watches as his younger self gets unfrozen and joins the Avengers. If he avoids changing anything he can arrive in a near identical future, although that seems impossible on such a long timeline. He can arrive in 2023D after Cap goes back in time to return the items, but he can’t arrive in 2023A after Cap goes back in time to return the items. It’s possible that maybe he talked to Hulk 2023D and asked for help to be sent to our 2023A, but I didn’t notice a time device on him. The issue with it is that if Cap can affect 2023A (by being there on the bench exactly when he knew they would be there) that means that you can-in-fact plan and change the future by going to the past. The camera never leaves 2023A and there’s no reason to infer that this is anything other than our main continuity.
