Ville Pirinen is the comic artist of the Ornette Birks Makkonen, that infamous party jazz dj who has a monthly comic in Soundi. Now he will surprise us with a set of god damn rock and roll
Anssi Kasitonni ja Maria Stereo. Anssi plays a raw rock sound in his one man orchestra, his three string guitar, raspy voice and simple tunes meets with good ol'melodic song writing. Live he will be joined with Maria Stereo who puts some additional cream on top with syntheziser, backing vocals and some maracas, hi-hat or tambourine here and there. Oh and let's not forget that Anssi is also an excellent "found art" artist, so you could drop by gallery Alkovi on the corner of Helsinginkatu and Fleminginkatu for his latest exhibition. Posteljoona scored a nice summerhit with Nakuna this year (in all honesty, i liked it also!). His album debuted this year under critical claim. The sound could be described as laidback rhythm dancerap music under an organic reggae/rap/club beat
