Hi,

I am looking for a person who can do a traineeship at Pitkämies. Your tasks will be helping Pitkämies out with the stores in various ways, such as the day to day running of the store, helping with organising events, coming up with and executing promotion and marketing etc. You will have a chance to work in a creative environment, meet interesting people and do your share in trying to create a better world (at least, as far as comics are concerned)


If you wish to apply by using this traineeship as part of your studies, this is ofcourse possible! In this case there are several longer term project with which i would need assistance, such as for example a facelift of my horrible looking site, creating of a logo etc

Requirements

Have a good to very good knowledge of alternative comics, manga, and finnish smallpress (I want to hear from you that Chris Ware is your favourite artist, that you admit to liking manga series such as Death Note and yes, Finnish comics are extremely good)

Have a good to very good knowledge of alternative music, finnish and foreign (like, you know who Steve Albini is, you have been to a Mental Alaska event or you have been spotted headbanging on Fuck Buttons)

Versatile in finnish and english (Although you will only need english dealing with me, so Finnish language skills are most important)

Preferrably experience in working in retail
