Thinking comes first, then drawing — to tell the story — intrigue the reader — delight, surprise, edify, inform, entertain him; in the context of the story! Tell the story, man!
Kannattaa poimia parhaat palat.
Tämä on oiva ja oleellinen asia:LainausThinking comes first, then drawing — to tell the story — intrigue the reader — delight, surprise, edify, inform, entertain him; in the context of the story! Tell the story, man!
Re all this — and your odd diminution of the characters' importance by placing them so poorly (except for Jonny's dad) — Jonny's hardly identifiable, so far away, and his back to us (!!) and Tina Haaji and the pudgy guy with him; testing our eyesight, perhaps?

By Alex Toth and others. Illus. by Alex Toth.
May 2011. 400p. IDW, $49.99 (9781600108280). 741.56973. Although he’s barely known to most comics fans, Alex Toth is widely considered by aficionados and fellow artists to be among the most important figures ever to have worked in the medium. Toth broke into the field as a teenager in the mid-1940s and soon began working for the era’s leading publisher, DC Comics. A blowup with the editors there—an early sign of the volatility that would repeatedly impede his career—led to his move to Standard, a smaller firm where he would illustrate a stunning string of crime, horror, war, and romance stories. By the late ’50s he was producing adaptations of movies and television shows for Dell Comics. This massive
coffee-table biography-cum-compilation makes a compelling argument for
Toth’s stature through its painstakingly researched text and copious visual examples that demonstrate his masterful illustration, graphic economy, and elegantly powerful design sense. Crucially, it reprints many complete stories—most shot from the original artwork—permitting full appreciation of his commanding storytelling. The volume— the first in a trilogy—ends in the early ’60s, when Toth was embarking on a second career in television animation that would prove as influential as his comics work.
